The International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, as modified by the Protocol of 1978 relating thereto (better known as MARPOL), is one of the most important international agreements on the subject of marine pollution.
This consolidated edition provides an easy reference to the up-to-date provisions and unified interpretations of the articles, protocols and Annexes of the Convention. All amendments up to and adopted by the Marine Environment Protection Committee at its 62nd session have been incorporated.
