This book describes equipment, techniques and logistics for responding to oil spills. It is designed to serve as a planning guide which will help the on-scene-coordinator (OSC) identify the steps and priorities for responding to major oil spills, or oil well blowouts associated with petroleum activity. While the study was done specifically for the Alaskan Beaufort Sea, the guide contains considerable valuable technical information that would be applicable to other waterbourne spills any place in the world. Both current and emerging technologies are included.
