The purpose of this book is to orient workers new to operations on a floating oil rig. The specific problems of holding on location and the equipment involved to maintain position above the well are described and discussed in detail. This lesson assumes that workers new to offshore operations are already familiar with drilling procedures used on land. Other lessons in Unit V are also available.
