Chapter 1 traces the origin and domestication of sheep and goats and discusses some of the changes that have occurred primarily in the United States. Chapter 2 characterizes sheep and their products on a worldwide basis and describes U.S. Deep production, past and present, pointing out problems and potentials of the industry.
